They scraped clean the moss in the backyard the other day
the day I was feeling foggy and dopy
for the most of the day

Moss sneaked back again this morning
after a cool foggy night of dripping and dipping

Stealthily stubborn
Stubbornly annoying

And obviously as sober as I have been since
the day they tore down the yard fence
